After I break up with someone, I don't rush the recovery process. Meeting someone else isn't going to necessarily mend a broken heart.

I honestly feel like if you truly love someone then they'll always have a special place in your heart. You may not be in love with them anymore, but you're always going to have feelings for that person. Me and my fiance called it quits last January and I'm over him yet every single time I see him I get butterflies in my stomach and I think about what we had and how much I miss him deep down inside.

Ultimately, I say, the best way to deal with a break up is time.

I was depressed for a month the first time and we weren't even exclusive. This was back in July 2012. What hurt me the most is when he disappeared with no warning. I moped around all summer, feeling empty and angry. We've been on good terms since the beginning of this year, tho. I get so happy whenever I see him. He's the first person I've ever had feelings for.

The second time was in March of this year. It hurt a lot and I kept seeking comfort in other guys. That **** doesn't work. They don't want to comfort you, they just want one thing from you. We eventually got back together, tho. I've been reluctant to use the term "boyfriends" to describe us, tho. I'm not as open with him as I once was.

Anyway, I don't deal with breakups too well. In both cases they just up and left with no explanation. That part hurts the most.

How do you deal?
It's hard to deal with it. I personally got in really bad place after I broke up with my 1st boyfriend it really made me feel insecure and I felt vulnerable. Honestly it takes time and you have to learn to accept that it did not work out. I loved him so much and it was my first real relationship so it impacted me a lot but it also taught me about love and moving on. I think I know myself better now and I am happier these days.

How long does it take you to go on another date?
Hmmm well it is entirely up to you, you have to be ready emotionally and mentally. Make sure you are comfortable with your self and ready to date again.

Do you ever really get over somebody you love(d)?
Well I still do love my first boyfriend but it's not a strong love its more like a ode to him for all that we went thru together. I still talk to him and were in good terms now.

Are you open to immediately hooking up after the break up?
This is up to you. I personally would wait a while to get myself together.


How did your last break up happen?
A lot of things happened that we didnt confront. Things accumulated and by the time our relationship was at the edge we couldnt save it.

When getting over people I stop myself from falling back into the same traps, whether that means blocking them on social media, deleting their number or just distancing myself from them. works for me.

The worst break up vid had was with my first relationship. **** hurt like hell. I didn't know what to do. I was really sad and down, especially when I was by myself. I put on a front when with friends and family. To be honest, it was a struggle to go get up and go to school & just everyday life. I just wanted to stay in bed all day and not be bothered. I don't know, but with time, my heart healed & life went back to normal. I never thought it would, though. It definitely made me stronger.

Erm yeah you really don't stop loving that person even though you might be angry with them, you'll still weirdly care about them.

So far it's been 3 months for me since we broke up, if I met someone I really liked now I would start to go out for some dates, but atm I think i'm just doing me, it's weird being single after being in a relationship for 2 years.

I think that's because that person is literally your bestfriend too, and yeah I felt like literally such **** for weeks, it hurts so bad, and it's not something you can just say "hey why am I bothered by this let me just feel normal"

The reason we broke up was complicated, but he didn't want to give us another chance, so I just left and accepted it (hope he dates some nasty skank and realises what he threw away)

Anyway after a break up, I've been told it's always better to focus on you for a while, then come back stronger, so that's what i'm kind of doing

i just tend to go and hook-up with the gheys of Grindr. not because i'm a ***** who likes to sleep around or anything, but because i know it'll be a while until i love someone again, so why stop the fun? okay, maybe i am a *****.

on tha real tho, it's a good distractor from them. the worst thing to do is moap around and be reminded of them with every little thing

The day my girlfriend and I were supposed to celebrate 3 months being together, she told me to break up since she was concerned about our age difference. I remember crying a lot that day. We came back after less than a week, when I told her age difference wouldn't be a matter if we both make our relationship work. It's been more than 9 months now. Time goes fast.

As for those days I wasn't with her, yeah, if it had ended up as a break up, I would have let time do its job.

I just take it one day at a time, and try not to contact my ex. You just have to move on with your life, eventually it'll stop hurting
