But American Idol has very dated themes that just aren't for me.

New producers this year and they are doing a overhauled on the themes plus a new clearance songs list from the last 20 years. Idol may not seem a bit old fashion anymore. It's too late to audition for season 13 (unless maybe they do onlne auditions later on?) since Hollywood Week has already been filming better wait for TheVoice Season 7 or Season 14 of Idol.

Though in my opinion the best performance(s) are the old songs; jmo
