Kelly beats X-Factor In Ratings

On Friday it was reported by Showbiz 411 that the country star's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale pulled in 5.31 million viewers.
But the singer's old American Idol boss Simon Cowell saw only 4.97 million eyes for his struggling reality show The X Factor which aired the same night.
'This must hurt,' wrote Showbiz 411's Roger Friedman.
'The X Factor is just not doing well. We all know it. But on Wednesday night there was an added insult: Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas special had more total viewers than Simon Cowell’s competition.
'The irony of course is that Clarkson was discovered on Cowell’s American Idol and was the very first winner of that show,' he continued.
'X Factor was the eleventh - yes 11th - most watched show on Wednesday night. That’s also rough news.'
The article ended, 'If they haven’t made severe changes for the upcoming season, they’re going to be in the same predicament.'
Kelly, 31, was joined by a whole host of famous faces that included Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg.
Simon's X Factor has low star wattage this season with Demi Lovato, Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio.
