After looking at what the music forum's become, it looks like it's one big ball of single artist threads and it's nearly impossible to find just simple news anymore. What I think and suggest is that the music forum now have a sub-forum dedicated to those single artist threads. For example, you type in the artist so the thread comes up something like:
**Artist** Thread: **News**
I think it would make the music forum a lot more organized and easier to see. If this does not happen, I think at least having a specific thread with the artist's name in it mandatory instead of a random news that's hard to figure out if you don't know everything about the artist.
- A sub-forum will encourage some posters to create more single artists news/official threads. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a Sisqo or Aqua news thread over there.
- The more threads will be created in that sub-forum, the more pages that forum will have. It will be a jungle mess and everyone will be "bumping" their threads to keep them alive and noticed.
- If you want to post some news about certain artist, you will most likely find out that someone has already created a "news thread" for them in the sub-forum; therefore, nobody will be posting "simple news" in the Main Music Forum. Sooner or later, one of these forums will die.
- Plus, looking for a certain artist's news thread is too much of a complicated process for someone who just wants to post news.
When we upgrade to vBulletin 3.7, we will be able to make thread prefixes that will appear to the left of the title. So we can put in the artist name there and it'll always stay there.
That will also come in handy for the Videos forum and Games forum.
