Wasn't a hit but surely is a great song that deserved much more commercial success to solidify its merit. 80's influences with stomping synths. 'Marry the Night' was attempted to be revived as a Top 10 hit by little monsters a while after the new YouTube streaming rule on the Billboard charts. Whose idea was it? I don't know, but 'Marry the Night' carried on this year.

TWO COMEBACKS IN A ROW? HELL YEAH. Britney Spears' 'Gimme More' sample addition was just great, very neat idea and her further participation in the track is also notable. Right after Black Eyed Peas' hiatus, it seemed strange not seeing will.i.am and crew around and after the Mick and Jen colab couldn't quite take off as an optimistic would have expected for him, this came as a nice surprise hit that yeah, made people shake that thang.

Walks Like Rihanna is a mess, but I love it

One of the things I most like about 'Walks Like Rihanna' is that the songwriting style is close to one of the things "boy bands" are all about, simple but straightforward pop melodies and that blatant shtick that make them unique.

I don't know which one should I put as the Top 40 surprise, one of my faves, an ATRL fave or other type of act.

But I think I'll go with Ke$ha!

29. Ke$ha - Crazy Kids

I really wanted this to go at least Top 10. With 'Warrior' we get to know more about Ke$ha but I guess the promo wasn't the most adequate for optimal commercial success. Either way, the whistling, the sing-rapping, the mood changes. Is that Flaming Lips thing still up? C'mon guys! I want Lip$ha.
