Choosing some of my favorite album tracks from Paramore and Selena. Especially "Save The Day". I really liked Forget Forever as well from her album. Hope to see it on here
Last Hope!!! Top 3 off Paramore for me!
And One Song Way is also Top 3 for me from Frame By Frame!
And Bitchin' Summer is in my Top 3 off Avril Lavigne!!!
I didn't really care for this song much at first, but after I few listens I really grew to like it. The guitar instrumental really works well with the dance-feel and Jessie's vocals. Again, I like that Jessie didn't put her pipes on full blast. It was very pleasant to hear, especially in the verses.
29. Ariana Grande - Honeymoon Avenue - Yours Truly
The first of three appearances from Ariana Grande. This is in my Top 3 for her album, as are the other two songs in this list. In an album where it is so cohesive that songs become forgettable, this was one of the songs that stood out. Ariana's vocals are very nice and this song is very beautiful. I think it's a little overrated but for good reason unlike Demi's Without the Love. My god, the Lovatics overrate that song to the high heavens, I can't believe it won the DEMI survivor - this song won the Yours Truly survivor, but it wipes the floor with that DEMI track. By miles.
28. One Direction - Right Now - Midnight Memories
One of two appearances by 1D in this category. This is one of the highlights for me on Midnight Memories. It's one of their best songs in their career so far. My only problem is that they try too hard to imitate Ryan Tedder in this song. I get that he wrote this song to an extent, but that doesn't mean they had to try and sound exactly like him. I know the boys can hit high note, but I want to hear their own voices, not some Ryan Tedder imitations.
27. Ciara f. Nicki Minaj - Livin' It Up - Ciara
Ciara's only appearance in this chart. In my opinion, this is the best song off her album. Unlike I'm Out, Nicki doesn't overshadow her here. I love the aw ah ah's in the chorus. So memorable and catchy. I wish this had been a single and I wish she had a better label. This could've been an urban.
26. Ariana Grande - Tattooed Heart - Yours Truly
Ariana's performance of this song at the AMAS pretty much sealed its position on this chart. Such a good song. Ariana's vocals shine here, even if it sounds too much like Mariah
Teens Flashbacks
One of my jams from 2010. Girlicious should've had a US Top 40 hit with this song. I'll never understand why an American girl band was only being promoted in Canada. Makes no sense to me whatsoever.
25. Havana Brown - One More Time - Flashing Lights
Havana has never failed to give me good songs to jam to. Now that she has released a full album, she continues to live up to that. This is her first of three appearances in this category. This song is just a feel good song that you can dance to and escape reality with. The beat is just so cool! It also reminds me of Forget Forever by Selena Gomez a little. I think they are sung in similar keys in similar tones. Anyways, this song is great. I can see myself putting this on repeat while walking around town.
24. Demi Lovato - Never Been Hurt - DEMI
A very underrated track from Demi's album. I don't know why a lot of people call this filler or don't like this track, yet they have the nerve to overpraise songs like Without the Love . This song has a very triumphant feel to it all throughout the song. I love the chorus because that's where that triumphant feel comes in full force. This is one of those songs that I feel like could close out an album or close out a movie or be used for the climax of a tv show that is in its final season. I just love it and it ***** all over that Without the Love mess.
23. Krewella - Human - Get Wet
I loved Krewella after I heard Alive & Live For the Night. I was really excited for their album to come out and when it finally came out I got it, one way or another. I was a bit shocked to here songs like this come from them, but I loved it on the first listen. It's nice to see a more vulnerable side coming from these guys, because they are more known for upbeat party songs. This song showed another side to them. This is actually what gave them the edge over Icona Pop for me. I like Icona Pop too, but they made themselves a one trick pony. I love that Krewella made songs like this that showed their softer side while still staying true to who they are as a group musically.
22. Sammy Adams - Waste - Homecoming
Along with Jake Miller, Sammy Adams has to be one of my favorite rappers at the moment. I like his music more than Jake's sometimes though, and that includes this song. Sammy is a lot better at creating inspirational songs than Jake is. I really like how Waste essentially addresses everyone to not let themselves go to waste and just let themselves be themselves. I like how he also addressed the gay community for a short second when listing everything off. I hope that genuinely means he is not homophobic and not simply adding the LGBT lyric to make himself more marketable. But still, this song is one of his best and has become one of my favorites from him.
21. Avril Lavigne - Falling Fast - Avril Lavigne
This song ranks in my Top 3 off of Avril's 5th album, behind Rock N Roll and another song that you guys will see later. This is more along the lines of the Avril I loved. There are parts of the album where I felt Avril had turned into the very girl she didn't want to be when she was on RCA. Avril's vocals are just so flawless on this track and this song is just purely beautiful and relaxing. At least when she sings songs like this, she's still herself.
Teens Flashback
One of the best songs released during my Junior Year of High School, and a favorite off Loud among me and my friends. I remember some of my friends saying they loved this song and they wanted to listen to it with me since I had it on my iPod and they didn't have their iPod. This song ranked #8 on my Best of 2011 list, making it the third highest Rihanna song on the list that year. This is one of my Top 5 favorite singles from her and I just wish she would have another beautiful ballad like this one of these days. Farewell came close, but not close enough.
