It started off good, but then Xtina started trying to do way too much. I was hoping she would keep the vocals simple like she had been doing with "Say Something." It was a bit of a shrieky mess by the end.
I'd say it was solid overall. The song is definitely not meant to be a duet.
I overplayed the original solo wayyy too much, so at first I thought this was kind of messy. But after watching it a third time, it makes a whole lot more sense. It was actually really good.
X pretty much nailed her parts. Jacquie isn't as good at "emoting" vocally so she was marginally outshined. That's what X does best though, so it's totally understandable. Jacquie managed to hold her own still, I hope she goes far in her singing career.
What a good choice of song for their final performance together too, great message. I hope Jacquie wins!!
Messy performance (though Christina sounded good for the most part), but I love the bond between these two. I hope their relationship continues after the show.
