Fresh off the success of his new band The Pizza Underground’s first LP, Macaulay Culkin celebrated Monday by filming himself eating an entire slice of pizza for four and a half minutes.

Over the last several days, the Internet has been fixated upon the Pizza Underground, a New York City band that plays Velvet Underground covers with pizza-themed song titles and lyrics. An initial hook to this pie-based news was that Macaulay Culkin plays kazoo and vocals. Little is known about the band, except that, according to their Bandcamp page, they recorded a nine-song demo at Culkin's house last month with song titles like "Papa John Says," "I'm Beginning to Eat the Slice" and "All the Pizza Parties."
Was it just some cheesy joke or something more? In this behind-the-scenes documentary, you can see that it seems like a very real thing. The video provides insight into their recording sessions and a live gig, where you'll notice that used pizza boxes are also acting as a percussion tool – a neccessary ingredient for anyone wanting to ensure their pizza-band is as authentic as possible.
Where? Did you interact? I really want to meet him My friends say him in New York while I was there but I was at a store at the time they saw him, he walked just in front of them in 5th ave. I could have seen him.

I saw him a couple weeks ago in Paris, near the Eiffel Tower. He was with his girlfriend
Oh! It's the whole McDonalds Burger thing that Warhol did... Warhol wanted to showcase products, food and drink that are universally consumed; regardless of class or who you are. Weather your Lady Gaga or some homeless guy, they've both tried a big mac at some point in their lives. Really profound stuff.
Still have no idea how Warhol's concept links into what this guys trying to do.
