Hypothetical question. Assuming you still had an iPhone 4S, would you get a 5S should the opportunity arise or hold out until the release of the 6?

You may or may not be helping me make a decision. But let's treat this as a general discussion for all intents and purposes

I would wait for the iPhone 6 because it'll probably be released next summer/fall, which isn't far away from now.

True. But the iPhone 5S is so beautiful, and what if Apple tries pulling some "iPhone Air" ******** with the 6?

I have a 5 already so I'm waiting for the 6. 5S is nice but so is the 5.

Well, see. What had happened was that I bought the iPhone 4S as my very first smartphone last fall, right before the 5 came out. I was pissed.

Now my grandma who is very late to the smartphone game is about to buy an iPhone tomorrow. My options are to let her buy a 5S and then load my data on that and give her my 4S, or let her buy a 5C and wait until the 6 comes out.

While the 6 is right around the corner, the S models are usually better. (Siri on the 4, fingerprint sensors on the 5, etc.) so that's my dilemma. I could be on track for a 6S this time in 2015, or wait for the 6 and then have my next one after that be the 7.

Buy an iPhone 5S and then you change it for an iPhone 6S or whatever comes after iPhone 6.

Get a 5s. iPhones have incredible resale value, and if you keep it in good condition, you'll still be able to sell it for like $500 once the new iPhone comes out. Pay the early upgrade fee ($200) from your carrier and you'll have a new iPhone 6 for $450, actually profiting from it.

I'm tempted to go for the 5S. Can't wait much longer for a new phone...

I had an iPhone 4 for 2 years and I upgraded to 5S last month, it was a good choice. It's faster, the camera is great, and the ID scanner is awsome.
