Beyoncé as a lead artist will never have a hit as big and global as Whenever Wherever, Hips Don't Lie, Waka Waka, Underneath Your Clothes, La Tortura, and her soon to be released Rihanna collab
Does anyone actually know how much those Shakira albums sold WW?
I always see random figures being thrown around (like Sale el Sol selling 4M) but no actual sources and stuff.
Duca?
i think Shakira has only had like 2 hit albums. Dirty Laundry which i think sold like 11M and Oral Fixation which i think is 8M or something. She's probably sold in the same ballpark as Beyoncé-Rhianna-Gaga but her record label constantly reports that she's sold around 60M albums.
i guess that comes from Latin American bootlegs that Mediatraffic doesn't track.
Bey totally just messed up the video so people would keep refreshing the page within the window of time it was down.
Her genius marketing skills know no bounds.
Aight, let me defend myself. I can't stand Beyoncé's voice. Or her attitude. It's just like Adele's. Way too much tryhardness going on to be seen as a serious artist while sticking to the common and boring pop formula. 5 is musically and lyrically better than AP definitely, but I find AP more enjoyable than 5. Why? Because on some tracks it's all about having stupid nasty fun and only fun. If I want some meaningful, depressing, philosophical or cynical music, I got way better choices than listen to Bey's Heaven for example. This is the same reason I don't like Gaga's way2personal4me **** like Dope and Yoü & I. I don't like it when pop stars get all "I can be a serious artist too and be just as good as the most critically acclaimed ones". I say "NO! You just stay put and make ****** radio music just like you're supposed to do you stupid puppet". Mainstream pop music taking itself too seriously is what I despise and Beyoncé, Adele and recently Gaga are all victims of this. Sometimes it sells (5 and 21) and sometimes it flops (AP) while the end result stays mediocre to horrible (all three albums) no matter what everyone says or how much it sells. It's all a big fat hype.
So why am I here and why do I follow pop music? Well, Erotica and Bad Romance happened right? That's all.
fffffffff. The "fun" songs on ARTPOP still aren't good though.
At least you tried to explain your faulty logic the best way you could.

Pies descalzos sold 5m an dell 8m. She haa sold around 35 to 40M WW but i agree her total sales are too difficult to track
