Happy, the lead single from Leona’s second album, Echo, peaked at Number 2 in 2009, while Collide, her 2011 collaboration with Avicii, peaked at Number 4.
I think it is pretty pathetic, for whatever reason most UK artists struggle to stay massively popular for a long time, whereas many American artists manage to maintain worldwide careers for many years, some spanning decades.
Of course there are a few Brits who do it too, but on the whole America has many more.
That's sort of crazy.
