One person was shot during a violent carjacking in the parking lot of The Mall at Short Hills on Sunday night, according to reports.
A witness heard two gunshots followed by the horrified screams of a woman as a car sped off around 8:30 p.m. in the high-end mall’s parking lot in Millburn, reports NJ.com

The carjacking occured in the parking lot of the Mall at Short Hills.

“The Subaru went out of here at 100 mph,” mall employee Robert Newman told NJ.com.
The victim was rushed to Morristown Medical Center in unknown condition, reports said.

Cops are searching for the shooter.

That is literally right next to where I live. I texted my family so quick to make sure they were all alright.

If there was going to be a shooting at a mall nearby where I live, I would have totally said Livingston. Not Short Hills.

You would think the Short Hills area would be safe tbh, it is so ritzy. I worked there a couple summers ago at the Macy's and it was crazy how good the security is there.
