Watched it yesterday. Honestly, I liked it a lot, I though it had amazing performances, both girls were believable and had amazing chemistry, storyline while heartbreaking, it was sweet. It's almost 3 hours long, but it doesn't feel like it.
The only thing that shocked me, though, was the sex scenes. I mean, **** is more explicit but for a movie, it was PRETTY explicit. I mean, real oral sex, it almost looked like they were having real SEX. I've never seen that in a movie. Props to the actresses for doing that, especially since they're both straight.
Speaking of real sex in movies, that's how I found out about this movie. I was looking for Lars Von Trier's filmography and his wiki said his work with unsimulated sex caused a bit of controversy. I wound up on Blue is the Warmest Color's wiki after looking for movies with unsimulated sex.
