Billboard does their tracking from December 1, 2012 - November 2013, so yes, she missed that cutoff. However, for Nielsen Soundscan, they track the whole calendar year (January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013).

Bey will more than likely surpass all of the females on the Soundscan chart.

This album falls under pop/electro-r&b/urban. We don't know how things will turn out far as singles, we can only hope for the best. XO

She paid for the videos and recording sessions out of her own pocket (just as she paid for her own tour expenses). There was no multi-million ad campaign for this. Most of the label didn't even know the album was coming out until the last minute. She took the risk alone and now she's reaping the benefits.

Stop trying to live in what could happen or what might have happened. You guys have been making predictions and assumptions about Beyonce all year long and you keep ending up with egg on your faces.

Beyoncé paid for those videos. She said as much when she got the 50 million dollar Pepsi deal. I guarantee she wasn't being backed up by Columbia on that end. She made the videos with the money from the deal and wanted to release whatever she felt she needed to express. Columbia doesn't have that much input we know as much. If anybody wants worldwide smashes it's them, but Bey is at a point where she no longer cares about going for the smash; she is bringing her art. If it smashes: icing on the cake. If it don't: not a single **** is given. However, it is already smashing. When other albums were released this year there was a great mix of dissenting and assenting opinions. Almost everyone who has heard this album praises it. Some was impulse buy. But the music is holding it up. Hype and impulse buying didn't help Art Pop or Britney Jean slay anything...,

Now that the numbers are about to come out, they has 3 days to collect their thoughts, they are saying what beyonce is doing nothing knew!!!!!!!! Lets out this way!!!!! In 3 days shes gotten to get the roar and applauses of the world by workin line a bitch during her tour, doing 17 videos with actual story lines, and urban álbum and still selling a lot...like she warn us...im the #1 bitch I don need no HYPE!!!!!!!!

Sorry but how many people called Single Ladies a flop or criticized the video for being too simple and now look what it is. One of the most iconic videos of all time.

Plus this whole surprise release is likely going to be iconic and will define her career as much as Single Ladies has.

This album will go on to sell 15 million + with proper promo. And we all know Bey loves promoting, and rightfully so. The world needs to hear this music, because it's truly amazing.

You've got be kidding. Frozen and Ray of Light were huge worldwide hits in 1998. This Beyonce album has nothing that sounds like a hit single.
