He never said Adele's voice was poor. Just that her technique was not proper, which is something you'd probably expect from a singer who is not technically trained.
There's a difference between poor technique and poor voice. You should learn it to save yourself embarassment
All very good opinions (for the most part). I'm going to pretend I didn't read the "Adele's voice is poor" comments and just move on. Anyways... I know Adele can improve in her vocal techniques. No one has the perfect voice. Her voice is incredible, but I think one thing that's important for her to work on, if I do have anything to point out, is working on the strength of her voice. You look at artists like Whitney Houston who could literally hit every note ever (except for when she got older and her voice cracked worse than a teenage boy going through puberty whenever she tried to sing "I Will Always Love You"), and I personally know that Adele has the potential to have a voice that strong enough to hit those notes, but due to all the vocal surgery and stuff I think her main priority for her voice has been getting it back to how it was before. After that she can focus on strengthening it. And she also doesn't sing choir music. No one listed in his interview really has any experience with the music that he deals with. Adele has had experience with an orchestra a few times, though. She worked with a very small one on her Adele Live tour in order to perform "Set Fire to the Rain", but her first experience with a big orchestra was when she did "Skyfall" at the Oscars, and it was an overall success considering she hadn't sang in a while and she had never performed with an orchestra like that. I read somewhere that there were some technological issues with the sound in parts of the performance and Adele pretty much had to bear with them, but it still worked out. I just don't think he's correct in stating that she lets too much air out when she sings and all this other crap. I know she has room for improvement. Everyone does. But it's kind of an unfair comparison. Regardless, though, a lot of the posters had really excellent points.
He didn't lie, but for their genres technical proficiency is kinda irrelevant. Although he has a point about Adele and it shouldn't be ignored. She didn't wind up needing surgery on her vocal cords for no reason.

Her and Adele are in the same boat. Vocally pretty naturally talented but need better technique because they are damaging their own voice.
This can do Adele also but that's not classical singing
Look when one of the best classical singer sings in a micro and one of the best soul singer
Adele has probably as a big voice as James Brown and to keep up with Luciano he must give everything and Luciano sings just in mezza voce but there is a lot more colour in his voice, That said it would sound gruesome when Luciano try to sing Soul.
