Not sure. But that figure hasn't been used by anyone other than them like a member pointed out. I think it may be true. No one believed the initial reports that it would sell this much in the US. I will believe until proven wrong.

Surpise factor aside the fact she had it where you had to buy the album as a whole and not have it on spotify is a big factor in its sales. Labels take note.

I was just completely floored by the reception in the US. No one expected it to sell like this. Anything is possible for Beyoncé. The 250k figure may not hold up, but I expect her to have a very handsome debut there.
