Rihanna was literally never about "that life" if she was she would have started her career with this bad ass image shes acting like. I mean she literally turned into a ghetto princess over night from the Loud to the TTT era and has stuck with it and guess what ... it's whats trendy right now.
#1's are only a little part of what a Legend like MJ has achieved and Rihanna hasn't even achieved half as much as he has done. ****, Beyonce & Britney alone have a bigger legacy than Rihanna without all the #1 hits.

Sis, calm down. They know that she's not on MJ's level, let alone Britney's or Bey's. They're joking, having fun and reveling in their fave's newest achievement. There's no harm in that. Just throw some shade about MJ knowing what a 4x platinum album looks like and leave with your head held high.

Completely true, though Madonna was also pretty infamous for this. I still can't believe Afrojack never sued for royalties on "We Found Love" after "Take Over Control" was a Top 40 hit in the U.S. just months before it came out.
