Jeez!
Just breathe easy, (continue to?) speak reasonably as well as calmly, while being open and fully honest with your friends. To some light extent, you can probably even show + explain to them what's going on inside of you first hand. Who knows, you may even find a fair compromise with them involving what they want and what you need. But remember your health comes before what they want you to do. Finally, do follow what the docs advise when it comes to certain activities, especially with the medical work you've had. (Particularly when it comes to driving, traveling, + staying home. I had a friend suddenly pass away this last fall mostly due to this factor. He had surgery and didn't follow his doctor's cautions when it came to travel.)
If anything else, life can only go up hill from here. : ]
