The sound in the video sounds altered, something is off about this.

She doesn't sound that bad, cold weather + vocal nodules just don't make for a great combination.

The tempo is to fast for her to take any breathes. Not really all her fault.

It's not altered at all. It was broadcast live. The only off about it is the uptempo which is faster. But that didn't change afterwards. They just played it like that and Mariah sung it like that!

The absolute most embarrassing part is, still, that this performance is better than what most of the current pop girls are coming with

This has to be fake...someone clearly messed with this audio...it sounds like bad autotune effect...where is the original...this cant be real sounds like the beyonce today show.

Someone definitely did mess with the YouTube video. She sounded fine.

This is the dubbed version where they usually change some stuff. It happened so many times. MTV was doing that in so many Britney Spears performances back in the day where she was singing live. The video I posted was from streaming. That's how it sounded. What's the reason also for her to "give anything for a redo"? Backing vocalls have been added , breathing has been reduced etc.In general the sound is remastered afterwards covering the imperfections.

She doesn't have to try hard tho. This is and always will be THE Christmas hit. Smashing every year.
