The Olivia/Fitz storyline is one of the defining aspects of the show, so I like that they keep going with it.
To me, the writing is what keeps it from teetering over into a cheesy soap opera. On the contrary, it becomes one of the best written TV dramas on televisions. It has its own vibe going on.
ABC scored so huge with this one.

Yeah its definitely a HUGE win for ABC, esp after Revenge lost almost all its viewership in S2.
You should also check out 'The Blacklist', its been the breakout ratings HIT of the year + its rescued NBC from a string of back to back flops.
Its really good.
