Unfortunately I fear that the era will die before we'll even reach the 4th single (I'm sure GYPSY or Venus will be the 3rd one), just like Gaga promised to release 9-10 singles last era but couldn't because the album sales had already died WW (in ARTPOP's case, they're already dying after a month).
Except an era isn't always contingent on album sales, rather single sales. As a bandwagon Katy stan, you should know that. And with DWUW continuing to increase and pave the way, her singles will continue.

Teenage Dream sold over 5 million copies WW, had 6 #1 songs and several 4-5x platinum singles, of course her label wasn't going to stop the era even IF the album sales had been bad.
ARTPOP on the other hand has bad album sales and average single sales, but yeah, let's compare apples and oranges.

I think the next era will be better BECAUSE we all saw how Gaga reacted to bad critical and commercial reception, I doubt she'll want it to happen again.
If she does continue w Part 2, it will flop harder then bionic and lotus packaged together sold as a deluxe edition. If DWUW flops, Gaga will not have commercial success ever. I mean that sing is perfect to smash but here in he US is not getting the treatment.
