Simon probably realized that it didn't build up any hype for the results show or the finale. For awhile, we didn't really know whose competition it was to lose. Until this week, it wasn't crystal clear because it seemed like anyone's game.
Now that we've reached the semi-final, it's pretty clear both of Simon's groups will get through as well as Jeff Gutt.
Last year, we knew long ahead of time that Carly & Tate would be the final two. And all the other rankings just made you lose interest in watching because you just knew who was gonna go home.
Glad they didn't do it this season.
