She should not ignore her hits and force people to like her new material. I definitely think she missed a step by performing new songs at Swine Fest. I could understand if Gaga were relevant this year prior to ARTPOP, but she was gone for a while.
Gaga's catalog is incredible and people want to hear that. By doing that, they have more of an incentive to listen to her new material. It isn't enough to wear an old wig... She might as well sing Just Dance...the crowd would go crazy! We, or at least I do, want Gaga's material to be seen as memorable. The show doesn't end because one album is over.
Let's just bathe in the positivity of this moment though :P
