21 is really bad. It's so so so so so overrated

BTD's lyrics are either really good or atrocious like so of the worst ever

21's are decent
And Pure Heroine are pretty good and the whole reason why PH was praised was because of its lyrics so I think it is pretty obvious

This is hard. I love all 3 of these albums

Lyrically, PH > BTD > 21
Musically, BTD > 21 > PH

None of them could ever write a song like RITD or SLY (Adele had co-writes but she wrote the bulk of all of the songs).

I have to go with 21. The lyrics to the big three on that album still give me chills.

Pure Heroine.

BTD's lyrics range from really brilliant to sometimes WTF (sorry Lana babe), so I can't rank it ahead of PH. All of Paradise is good though imo.

As for 21, I feel bad for anyone who thinks it features brilliant lyrics. Bland through and through, disguised by dramatic vocals and instrumentation.

I have to say Pure Heroine from a pure lyrical standpoint, and 21 from an emotional standpoint.

Born To Die ha songs sound pretty and glitzy but the lyrics leave a lot to be desired.

The whole reason Pure Heroine is praised so much is because of its lyrical content.

Not really I think RITD has good lyrics, but most of the other tracks are just average.

21 has amazing lyrics, and I love the metaphors in Pure Heroine.

Born To Die is okay.

Lorde and Lana have strokes of genius, but a good bit of stumbles as well. Adele remains constantly good, which I think makes it better since it doesn't really have any big stumbles.

21, hands down. The delusion in this thread.
