Gaga's going to have a prominent career like Madonna and Britney, mark my words.
That being said, there are going to be Blackouts, Ray of Lights, and Like A Prayers but there are also going to be Britneys, Eroticas, American Lifes, and so forth.
You can't honestly expect Gaga, or any artist for that matter, to have five Fame Monsters in a row. It's human nature, no one's perfect.
ARTPOP isn't even done yet. For all we know, like Applause, ARTPOP could surprise us and rebound. Or it could continue descending. We just won't know until the era is done.
It's a game of patience. And I think you're placing too much importance on sales.
