She was clearly in shock though. If she was thinking straight she wouldn't have tweeted it. I've done a slightly similar thing before, I was tweeting a lot one night when I got bad news like this and I absent-mindedly kept tweeting without realising what I was doing. I snapped out of it fairly quickly and deleted almost all my tweets from that night, but it still happened.
It just took time for my brain to process the news and I was on autopilot for a couple minutes. Must be even worse to lose a partner like this.
