Brit Awards 2014: Critics Choice nominees
Quote:
Chlöe Howl, Ella Eyre and Sam Smith have been shortlisted for this year's Critics' Choice Brit award.
The three acts stand a chance of receiving the special gong, which recognises future British recording talent.
18-year-old Howl is set to release her debut album in 2014, after her first track 'No Strings' earlier this year and 'Paper Heart' on December 8.
Meanwhile, Eyre has provided vocals for a number of tracks, including Rudimental's number one 'Waiting All Night' and Naughty Boy's 'Thinking About You'. The singer releases her own single 'Deeper' on December 15.
Third nominee Smith has also worked with Naughty Boy on the number one 'La La La' back in May. The 21-year-old recently unveiled his first solo single 'Money On My Mind', which is due for release on February 16.
All three artists also made the BBC Sound of 2014 list.
The Critics' Choice award started in 2008 and predicted the success of Adele, Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Emeli Sandé and Tom Odell, who have collectively sold more than 13 million albums worldwide.
A team of experts from across the music industry will chose the winner, which will be announced on December 12.
