The guy who was voted off The Voice last night had nice things to say about Kelly.

His last night on the show wasn't all bad news, though. With guest performer Kelly Clarkson there to promote her new Christmas album, Schuler had the opportunity to meet another of his idols. "She was super nice and gave me a hug and she killed it," he gushed of the original "American Idol" winner. "She is such an encouragement because she's the one who paved the way for us. She wasn't like the first one because that was 'Star Search,' but Kelly has had a flourishing career and it's encouraging to see her and give her a hug. I saw her from afar for my whole life and I watched 'American Idol' and thought maybe one day I could be on one of those shows, then 'The Voice' comes out and I fell in love with it. I tried out and good things happened so I am very grateful to her for lighting that spark."
