According to a recent report, the ability to stream games over the cloud via Sony's Gaikai service won't hit the PlayStation 4 until the third quarter of 2014 in North America, with European support reportedly delayed until 2015. Eurogamer cites unnamed "trusted sources" in delivering the timing information and mentions that developers briefed on the plans say a beta will run earlier in 2014.
Sony has been talking up the ability to stream both PS4 games and titles from older PlayStation systems through Gaikai's cloud servers since the company first unveiled the PS4 in February. By E3, the company was promising a 2014 launch for the service on the PS4, and it seems that this vague timing is still the official line.
"We're on track to have a commercial service up and running in the US first within 2014," PlayStation CEO Andrew House told Eurogamer. "That remains the plan and we're very much on track to reach that." The eventual goal, House went on, is to expand the service to the Vita and other mobile devices, essentially removing the need to purchase expensive hardware to play high-end games.
The reports of a third quarter launch for the streaming gaming service on the PS4 may disappoint some who were expecting the promised feature earlier in the year. The report is especially disappointing for European players, who will have to wait at least 13 months before taking advantage of the service.
I get Europe. Europe is just a mess to work with. It's really hard to push the simpliest of apps because their governments has set of laws that prevent them from releasing it in their country without working it out with them.

Is it really that bad? I had no idea makes sense though.
