Of course! Everybody is welcome to participate at every step of the process. It will get easier once there is a set list of submissions to vote on.

You're also perfectly welcome to send a ballot with just a select number of favorite songs and albums whose chances you'd like to boost.

Below are the longlists for the 25 voting categories of the ATRL Grammys. These top member submissions will now be whittled down to our final nominees. Members can vote for up to five choices in each category.

Ballots are due by Sunday, December 8 and should be sent by private message.

hmmm, the rap category was a bit tragic, I really had to stretch into the "Don't really care for this but it's better than Macklemore, Drake, Eminem and Jay Z's latest efforts so whatever, I'll pick it" kind of choosing

On the other hand, the country category is STACKED. Trying to pick the best out of Brandy Clark, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor is hard enough and then you have to consider the very strong efforts of Ashley Monroe, Band Perry, Carrie, Miranda, Pistol Annies and the Civil Wars.

If you were the only person to put forth a submission, then it probably didn't make the cut. These longlists represent the top choices in each category. With a few exceptions in some genre categories, everything that qualified had the support of multiple voters.

(If you guys don't like this process, please let me know. At the very least, I can consider how to modify for next year.)

The final nominees will be the top five vote-getters in each category, period. Ballot order does not matter and there are no limitations on voting for the same artist multiple times in a single category.
