Two walls fall down at 19 and 18 on our countdown. Both of these Pokemon were new evolutions for generation 1 Pokemon.

#19 - Steelix


Its body has been compressed deep under the ground. As a result, it is even harder than a diamond.
It is said that if an ONIX lives for over 100 years, its composition changes to become diamond-like.

Onix was cool, Steelix was even cooler. Just a KING all around. I would have been happy with him being a surprise top 10, but I'm pretty satisfied with how the top 10 turned out.
