I am not having anyone shading Go Deep here. While your irrelevant faves are paid dust Go Deepsus is still being remixed.
Plus, living in a world sucks and RN will never be on TVR's level.

TVR would be a better album than RN if it weren't for the following:
Tonight's the Night.
Rope Burn.
Anything.
Special.
In any case janet. > both.

Y'all doing the absolute MOST blindly stanning for TVR.
RN's production > TVR's production.
RN's videos alone are more timeless than anything having to do with TVR.
janet. is more diverse than TVR.
I'll give you lyricism tho.

That's because RN1814 has been above TVR since 1989.

It isn't though. Those two dream street esque songs on Control prevent it from being perfect like RN, Janet and TVR

I don't blindly stan for any album or artist + y'all are just wrong.
Control is in no way surpassing janet.. Not one single song on the former is as strong as "That's the Way Love Goes", "If", or "Anytime, Anyplace". The former is no more or less cohesive than the latter, not nearly as mature or well-written as the latter, and not nearly as well-produced. Even 1993net's generic crap is better than 1986net's. "Funky Big Band" > "You Can Be Mine".
On the subject of RN1814 being dated: I was at my friend's house on Thanksgiving. Me, my brother, my friend, his friend, his sister, and her boyfriend were all in my friend's room playing video games when I decided to play a little bit of "Alright", "Miss You Much", and "Escapade". My friend's sister's boyfriend thought it was "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley. RN1814 is not sonically brilliant; it was a long time ago. The album WREAKS of 1989/90 and there's no denying that. Nothing on TVR, save "Tonight's the Night", "Anything", and "I Get Lonely" SCREAMS late 1990s.
P.S. "Tonight's the Night" is easily my favorite song.

Special is bad, indeed.
However, TTN and Rope Burn >>> Livin In A World. Anything is blatantly filler, but not bad like Livin In A World. Rope Burn > Someday is Tonight. Tonight's The Night >>>> Come Back To Me.
Also, RN had to be all edited for some songs to be released, and it is really dated. TVR is seen as her magnum opus and you will seethe.

Control is better than janet., undoubtedly. Control punches from start to finish and there are no gaps - you can listen to it straight through without skipping a track - unlike janet., where This Time - Again are skip-able [save Throb] (and I actually forgot "Because of Love" is on the album while typing this). The idea of Control is more terse in that the direction of the album is clear with the opening track, and consequently each subsequent track falls into single file. "Nasty", WITOY, WHYDFML, and Control are classic. Then there's the resplendent "Funny How Time Flies" that wraps up the album so effectively, and bodies every album track on janet. without question. janet. may be more diverse with production and lyricism, but Control's consistency centered around the theme of the album makes it better.
I won't even go too deep on why RN1814 is better than TVR. RN1814 has MYM, Lonely, RN, and CBTM. That's enough to make it better than TVR. Plus, TVR has Everytime and TNN, that's enough to bring down the quality of the album. Like I stated before with Control, RN1814 is more consistent with the theme, and conceptually it is better as it appeals to every one.

I don't understand the hype round these parts for DJ. I find it to be one of Janet's worst albums due it coming off so mediocre, boring and uninspired. I do think some records like Slolove & My Baby are cute but as a whole the album demonstrates to me Janet really had nothing to say when making it.
I stand by and say TVR is her best record sure it has it's pitfalls like TNTN, the title track & Everytime. But I loved all the themes she explored it felt like Janet at her rawest, most personal & sexiest.

I tend to skip 'Control' 'You Can be Mine' and 'He doesn't Know I'm alive'. Control because of how long and drawn out it gets, and the other two because they are terrible Dream Street style songs.

thatgrapejuice.net/2013/12/vault-janet-jackson-i-lonely/
Iconic. Innovative. Influential.
These are three words that would best describe Janet Jackson.
Today’s From The Vault pick is an demonstration of the indelible imprint she has left in our beloved Pop Culture. ‘I Get Lonely’ from 1997′s ‘The Velvet Rope’ is this week’s selection.
The work of then-fantastic four Ms. Jackson, Jam & Lewis as well as Jackson’s ex-husband and frequent collaborator Rene Elizondo, ‘Lonely’ is an authentic R&B track that sees Janet lamenting over being away from an estranged lover. A classic Janet “baby-making song”, its dramatic horns and sultry bass make for a sexy-sensual atmosphere which contrasts – in the best way possible – with Jackson strong yet vulnerable vocal delivery. The singer’s trademark harmonies are in full force as well. A triumph.
Releasing the track as a follow up to Dance-Pop mega hit ‘Together Again’ was quite the bold move at the time, but turned out to be a risk worth taking as it became the diva’s 18th consecutive Billboard Top 10 smash – peaking at #3 – and claiming the top spot of the Billboard Hip-Hop/R&B chart. In the UK, the R&B jam fared rather well too reaching the fifth position of the Official Singles Chart.
As it is often the case with the stage-blazer, the accompanying visual for the tune is as memorable as the tune itself. The Paul Hunter directed music video presents a flame-haired Janet in various futuristic sets including one where she – alongside her female dancers – engages in some silky smooth choreography, proving yet again that she is no one-trick-pony who can only do intricate high-octane routines.
From the fashion and hair & make up to the choreography, it is indeniable how impactful this video has been and is continuing to be: Britney’s ‘Me Against The Music’, Kelly Rowland’s ‘Motivation’, Rihanna’s ‘LOUD’ era look anyone?!
We won’t state again how seriously we’re anticipating Ms. Jackson’s return to chart glory. For today all we will do is salute yet again a tremendous artist who’s vision and audacity helped change the entertainment landscape forever.

So? Every Time > Come Back To Me. By the way, CBTM and LIAWTDM are worse than the few bad TVR tracks.
Also, TVR has Together Again - her best and most successful single, I Get Lonely, Velvet Rope...
RN has overrated singles like Miss You Much and Wiggum Nation. If anything it has Escapade and Alright... The rest falls short of the brilliance of ha Velvet Rope - an album supposed to have a dark and twisted atmosphere and accomplishes that. RN was supposed to be about politics and dance and half of it has nothing to do with it.
P.S. 20 Y.O. > Discipline. Any time, any place. The latter is cringe-worthy.
