I'm pretty sure this thread will be a flop but I was curious if any ATRLers played MtG. If this gets any attention and discussion maybe I'll pretty up this post.
I was always more into yugioh. Though I've wanted to learn.
I used to play Yugioh. In my opinion MtG is a much better designed game. I'd definitely recommend getting into Magic. The previously mentioned Duels of the Planeswalkers game is a great way to learn and have fun without spending a bunch of money initially. It's available on Xbox 360, PS3, Steam, Android, and iOS (Wizards of the Coast should hire me for marketing!).
I used to LOVE MtG and I kinda want to get back into it.
Honestly, the artwork of some cards was my favorite part and I collected them half to just look at them! But I used to play a lot of TCG's like this and Yu-Gi-Oh! (which I was the best at).

I miss this part of my childhood and teen years.
Yesss! Magic's art is just one aspect that sets it apart from other TCGs. I have a binder with my collection of all cards by one particular artist (Nils Hamm), and all in foils if they exist in foil. This is the art that got me into his work.
