Professor Green has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
The musician, who turned 30 on Wednesday, was detained by police after reporting for bail on Monday (November 25). He has been bailed until the New Year as enquiries continue.
"A 29-year-old was arrested for attempting to pervert the course of justice after reporting for bail," said a police spokesperson.
"He is bailed to a date in January pending further inquires."
Green, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving earlier this month.
He was taken into custody on November 3, after police found his Mercedes and a van had been involved in a minor crash.
Green is thought to have contacted the police himself, after he was allegedly mugged for his Rolex watch outside his house.
