So I've been a big fan of Degrassi: The Next Generation ever since my cousin hooked me to it 5 years ago.

I was bored yesterday and I was reading Manny Santos' (played by Cassie Steele) wikipedia page.

And I read that she had got pregnant and had an abortion in a 2 part episode and I was like WTF? How come I never saw this?

Then I read that the U.S. banned it because it showed Manny going to the abortion clinic.
I mean its not like Americans don't get abortions.

Luckly I found the whole 2 part episode on youtube. And I must say it was amazing<333

Manny will forever be my favorite character.
She's had so many changes and I think she's grown over the years by learning from her many mistakes.

Not to mention she's sexy as hell!!!

Um, that episode aired once in America from what I remember on CityTV, which i'm guessing is Canadian Television? But yeah; for some reason, it was never really aired here in America, which SORT of caused a gap in the show's plot . I'm guessing the television station didn't even want to deal with the issue.

OMG Tim you never knew about that? Yes Manny was pregnant with Craig's child, but the 2 part episode was banned in th U.S, the N thought it was bad influenece to the female viewers because Manny ended up having an abortion, but luckly I saw the episode on youtube as well thank god for Youtube, but eventually The N showed the episode as an never before seen episode the next year.

well when they did one those marathons, The N decided to add the episode, but it's stupid, they should have aired it when it was new at the time.

oh & I heard, I hope it's true, that Degrassi was picked up for an 8th season!
