I thought it would work but now, when i'm watching her singing about being taken to another planet and dancing with muppets or whathever is that, I feel kinda embarassed. She coulda chosen much better promo than that. There are so many opportunities... The Voice anyone?

Hmmm.... it was obviously a cross promotion from the beginning . You want receipt for what? ABC wouldn't want The Muppet to also be the focused? Anyways, look at the ratings now and it seems that no sides get the huge promotion I guess.
The Muppets may have some adult-references, but they are ABSOLUTELY for kids First of all, they're puppets. The only time I can think of puppets being catered to an adult audience is Avenue Q, which parodies Sesame Street/The Muppets. The Muppets movie was obviously aimed at children. That excuse is ludicrous.
