I dearly believe that Britney was indeed in charge, though I feel the project would have been different if Britney had al charge, since I feel the label also influenced this record!

We all know Britney wasn't and isn't in charge. She was always talking about a different route with this album and her team was always saying otherwise, it turned out to be a messy record. Plus, the interviewer seemed shady.

Do you have evidence that she was in charge? No one exactly knows what's happening between them, I was speculating like everyone else could do. We know Britney was going to release a different album and she released Femme Fatale, a messy generic record. This time, it seemed it was going to be something promising, it turned out to be another messy generic record that isn't even consistent with a few ballads. Of course I find it better than her previous release, but I don't see Britney being in charge cause anytime time she is, things turn out to be completely different. See Blackout or In the Zone.

But most of those artist are working in their home studios so how far away they're from home? if you're gonna come to troll at least throw names or something...

Pretty much. And it just confirms my thought that for her it's about going in, doing what she needs to do and being out ASAP but it seems to work for her so.

This probably happened
- will.i.am was chosen as exc. producer
- will and Brit start working on the album, along with william orbit and various other producers
- the first round with the recordlabel comes around
- they don't like a portion of the material
- they sent Britney and will back to the studio
- Brtney Jean is what is created

I dearly believe that the label had a hand in this. Weren't there reports around Femme Fatale that Britney wanted to experiment with Tiésto and other kind of producers, yet Dr.Luke ended up as exc. producer down the line and it became just a pop album? Which had been reported to have been the labels descision. I can see they did the same to this record. will.i.am is basically hired to get the process going, but he doesn't have the power to "force" the label to give Britney the power. Since I am almost certain this album would have been hella different if Britney (and also will) were free to do whatever they want, even will.i.am is slwoly moving away from dance with his own music.

I don't think Britney Jean is a bad album though
