So my brother's girlfriend tapped my shoulder at dinner today and told me "I really love Katy's new song." And just as I was about to say "Unconditionally?" She spurted "Dark Horse" and then went on to talk about how her other friend loves it and they keep playing it at parties wherever they go, and it's their favorite song.
I work at a residential facility for teenagers and I heard one of them talking about how much "Katy's new song" DH bops. The perfect storm is coming
I still think this is going to hit the top 10. The boost it got from the promo is holding instead of evaporating away a few days after. Ballads take longer to catch on than songs like Roar and DH
I agree with this! Unconditionally can do well. Roar is blocking it more than DH, but it's exciting to see Roar go as far as it can.
I drove my mom to my uncle's place for Thanksgiving in her car; Unconditionally only came on once during the entire 3 hours of driving (1.5hr there & 1.5hr back). She immediately changed the station. "Dark Horse" came on like five or so times and she bopped (and so did I).
