Last week Super Mario 3D WORLD was released worldwide. We can say that this is without a doubt the biggest seller the Wii U will see during its life time apart from Smash and Mario Kart (maybe).

Dramatically, the Wii U only got a bump of 4k copies thanks to the release of SM3DWORLD

It is fair to say that the Wii U is never going to recover.

I don't get why they bothered releasing the Wii U in the first place. The whole Wii era was a huge gimmick to mask the terrible graphics and lack of creativity.

Wait. It's still one of my favorite Mario games though.

That's actually depressing. The new Mario game looks really good, and the reviews have been extremely positive.

I honestly hope the Wii U doesn't die, but at this point it seems like it IS dead. I don't think Nintendo was ready for this to flop too, since they seemed to really think it would start selling well.
