Last night's Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor, made to commemorate 50 years of the hit BBC programme, was seen by over 10 million in the UK, and 77 million people worldwide, making it the most watched drama of all time.

It was broadcast simultaneously in almost 100 countries, and was also shown in 1,500 cinemas.
