You guys are really looking way too into this. It's a preference. Different races of people have different features. People are attracted to those certain features. Stop making this way bigger than it needs to be.

But when you have TV and magazines especially in the gay media that have mostly white people as the attractive type or gay character it certainly plays a role in how attraction is perceived.

And there are gay men of color who find white men attractive just because they're white.
There is a status thing that comes into play when it comes to that. Not to mention how even white gay men acknowledge there is a totem poll in terms of racial attraction and how blacks and asians are at the bottom.

An issue in america can't speak for the rest of the world.

This is true for Asian countries too I know many of my friends (both gay and girl) would choose a white man over a local one

In my experience, people too often justify their racial "preferences" with stupid racial stereotypes.

I'm white and I'm only attracted to other races. I prefer Hispanic or black.

True. I'm reading psychology books and it's under social self/socia/cultural beliefs.

But the kii of the thread is that this conversation wouldn't be the same if it was discussing a non-US country. Things are a lot different internationally. More acceptance of all races tbh
