Three more huge names to perform at this years Grammys!
Though the WGA writer's strike could take their fight to the upcoming Grammy Awards, Beyoncé and The Foo Fighters won't stop the music.
Access has learned the R&B superstar and the rock band will be attending the Grammys regardless of the possible strike.
"The work of The Recording Academy is vital to the music industry, and we have every intention of being with the entire music community to celebrate the Grammys' 50th birthday in February. Beyoncé, as well as my other artists Solange and Trinitee 5:7, have been asked to participate and will do so. We have an incredible Beyoncé performance that will be announced soon. We wish the Grammys the best, " said Mathew Knowles, her father and manager, in a statement.
Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters is also attending music's biggest night and taking part in the "My Grammy Moment," where an aspiring musician is selected to play on stage with the band.
"We're participating in 'My Grammy Moment' because it creates opportunities. Opportunities to write, compose, play and study music — skills that absolutely need to be passed on to generations to come. And thanks to 'My Grammy Moment,' a musician from that next generation is going to get the chance to audition on YouTube to play with us at the Grammys as part of our orchestra," said Grohl in a statement released to Access.
Many other artists have not said if they will attend the Grammys until the details of the night have been worked out.
The WGA, who has said it is not likely to grant the Grammy Awards a strike waiver, has given waivers to the NAACP Image Awards, the SAG Awards, and the Independent Spirit Awards.
Let me guess....the incredible performance is going to be some retarded rendition of Irreplaceable with some highly respected artist. zomg what a formula!

Of course Matthew Knowles would take this opportunity to get his small artists to perform. Even if there was some virus outbreak at the ceremony and no other artists were willing to take the chance, i bet he'd force Kelly to perform. Foo Fighters are doing the "my grammy moment" thing like JT did last year :vomit: I hate that thing!

Her performances are always good! I'll never forget when she performed Dangerously In Love at the grammys and that pigeon few onto her hand...it was magical.
It really sucks that these writers are still on strike. They're destroying even music shows now... that don't even apply to them?? They don't need writers, they can just say, the nominees are and some of these music artists should grow a backbone and come anyway, regardless of the writers strike. Especially the 50th telecast of the awards, it'll be extremely depressing considering these writers already make god knows how much.... bah!
