Video Games: Will you buy Sims 4?

I don't think I will, the new graphics designer is a bit challenged and the CAS is a bit much. Everything else looks ok but I don't think it'll ever beat S3 or S2.

As much as I love the third, S2 was the best. S4 won't probably even come close to that. The memories.

To answer the question, I will probably try it out illegally first and then decide if I should get it or not.

It depends. They took out the ability to use custom patterns and designs. It's very limited, and I don't approve of the cartoonish look. I'm sure mods will correct that but I'm not sure yet. I am an avid simmer so I will probably down the road.

Yes. Although I don't like the look of the people that could always change as they said at gamescon those were 'pre alpha' graphics. The game itself looks fun.

They BEST add that back in. Only way my houses look good, their pre made designs on objects are awful.

I'm just so disappointed in the entire design team, I expected the visuals to atleast out do S3, but it looks more like S2. Like someone else said I might eventually buy it cause I'm an avid simmer and it's inevitable.

I was just devastated but one of the reasons is because colors will tie into the new emotions system.

I'll illegally download it. They could do a lot better with the graphics for the amount of time they take to make these games. I know the cartoon look makes it more "fun" but I want a realistic game this time around. The new emotions aspect is a lame gimmick.

Obviously. I've adored The Sims since it's first game(s), which remains my favourite of the series to date, so their 'deterioration' has yet to bother me or prevent me from purchasing.

Probably not. It looks like easier version of The Sims 3 for little kids. The should wait and come with the whole new concept... I know its utopia but I would like to mix The Sims and GTA games. Playing as a certain person with your keyboard arrows, completely 1st person view, more mature world.

I SO wish a developer would make a game like this and I don't understand why there hasn't been one made. There's a ton of "alternate life" games like that but they're low budget, crappy, and you usually have to play online which = lots of creeps. A true life simulator with a big developing team behind it would be massive.
