The second greatest era in pop music/ and in culture behind the 90s and 80s?


2002-2007 had some of the greatest hits ever

(yes it had alot of bad stuff but the good outweighed the bad)

you know how the 90s and 80s when its parodied in movies and etc has this like cheese/cool factor

I would say the 2000s is getting right up there.

Yep, Blackout, stripped, the fame monster, american life, confessions on a dance floor, b'day, in the zone, rated r and the list goes on

How come when people talk about the 2000s they only mean 2007-2009?

Or when they talk about the 1990s they only mean 1998-1999?

Because they want to block out the urban/rock music and stick to the pop songs.

If you extend this to the mid 2000s reign of punk white girl rock then I'd totally agree.

I would say that the 2000s was overall an amazing decade, especially in music. We got albums from Madonna, Coldplay, No Doubt, Björk, Britney Spears, Amy Winehouse, JT, Florence, Adele, Gaga and numerous more great artists.

Because the 2000s culture (when the 90s ness faded away)

was 2002-2007

in 2008 all the 2000s type things like TRL and flip phones began to die, as well as urban
music so the gen part of the 2000s everyone remembers is the emo myspace era
