Yeah..that's what she didn't really think through. Interscope can't give her full creative control. So there is always fighting going on (Venus & DWUW say hello). I guess Interscope had so much faith and let her do a lot on her own. This will obviously change very soon or maybe it already did. I just fear Gaga won't be able to deal with it and it will lead to bigger problems with Interscope.

I don't think she is totally against plastic, just look at her changing the once anounced ARTPOP brunette look very quickly to her iconic blond look. She even said the cover has that look cause its her most famous one. So she is also sometimes giving in.

Ah it's just complicated lol.

But Interscope will push this campaign I'm sure and we will see what will come out of this. Maybe they are letting her have some art fun right now but everything might change with the next single (and act2?).

JnD, Sexxx Dreams, and DWUW venture far into territories that she had yet to touch before ARTPOP. Swine, Aura, and Venus are songs that are very different from anything on the radio atm. That leaves about half the album falling into the noninnovative category you described
