Don’t believe the rumours – Nicole Scherzinger has NOT been dumped from Interscope.
Whispers began circulating online back in October suggesting that the hitmaker and her label had parted ways, after it was noticed that her name had been taken down from their official site.
However, her spokesperson has re-assured me today that she is still avec record deal. “She is still signed to them and working on new music,” I’m told. “She’s been in the studio with The Dream and Tricky recently.”
A rep for Interscope also confirmed that the jewel in The X Factor’s crown is indeed still on their roster.
Thinking about it, it would be ridiculous to let her go. ‘Boomerang’ may not have been the amazing smash that we all hoped it would be, but it did still make No1 in the midweek charts, and her last album spawned a three Top 10 singles. On top of that, she’s still arguably the most popular judge on X Factor, and with the right song she should have no problem raking in some serious sales.
If only she would HURRY UP A BIT BECAUSE THE WAIT IS ABSURDLY PAINFUL, that would be brill.
