People are so ****ing dumb about weather forecasts in england. Everytime bad weather is predicted and isn't quite as bad people run around frothing at the mouth about scaremongering and what not as if they know anything. The met office predict what the most likely outcome is based on the current situation, that doesn't mean they will always be right, they do not claim that, they are just giving you their best interpretation of the very very very complex system that is the earths climate.

A) This isn't the met office. It's a story created by a tabloid.
B) Energy organizations pay tabloids to print these types of stories to generate a larger flow of higher paying customers, it's common knowledge.
C) Yes, they do say this every year. In fact, word for word almost.
