Diplo's snafu caused a lot of internal and external issues, which was the reason for the week long tracklist delay. All of the bonus edition tracks were originally intended for the album. They are all Perry co-writes and she was going to receive a ghost credit under an alias. Once word got out about a leaked song earlier in November, Universal got involved and weren't having it since they would get a fraction of the royalties under Perry's publishing deal.
As opposed to the usual 30+ songs an artist has to chose from, Britney only laid down 14 songs before other commitments began, so her team was left with very few replacement options. This album might disappoint fans, but know that there were a lot of last minute behind the scenes politics involved.

I can tell you for a fact that Katy Perry had absolutely nothing to do with "Brightest Morning Star."
