Croatia will hold a constitutional referendum on December 1 that would rule out same-sex marriage . The referendum on whether to amend the country's constitution to define marriage as a "union between a woman and a man" was launched by a conservative group U ime obitelji ( in the name of a family ) .
Voters will be asked the question: "Are you in favour of the constitution of the Republic of Croatia being amended with a provision stating that marriage is matrimony between a woman and a man?"
Most of the newspapers in Croatia, announced that they will be against the amendment , because that is what they need to do just like American newspapers have support African American rights in the 60s.
Poll from November revealed that 54.3% of respondents will vote for the proposal and 33.6% against. 12.1% of respondents said they were not sure
