So I've been given permission to transfer control of this thread to any sufficiently active member of the fanbase. Before I give it away to anyone (or take it myself ), I was wondering if you guys could provide some feedback on who you'd like to see in control of the thread.
The old one will not be restored until after the server upgrades (which are sufficiently close to justify leaving it soft-deleted for now).

give it to the one with the most posts, or to yourself
This album will be hard to sell, considering she only sold ~160k first week, excluding pre-orders. Even when more than 8 million people watched her on SNL.
At this point, I can't think of anything that will make people interested in Gaga as they were in The Fame/Monster era.

I think this era is just to "build". This era needs to be th first step in the direction to win apart of the public back. Maybe she never reaches the interest of TF era, but she will do fine in the end for sure!

Stop with the pre-orders thing. Those are copies that would've been sold on the first week anyway! Who do you think that bothers to pre-order the album other than fans?
Included in the latter figure are a small number of "ARTPOP" albums sold via H&M clothing retailers: fewer than 1,000, according to sources. While H&M isn’t a traditional music retailer and hasn’t reported sales to SoundScan in the past, the chain did so this week. H&M follows other such nontraditional music sellers in recent years as Papa John's Pizza (Taylor Swift's "Red" album) and the U.S. Postal Service (Ray Charles' "Ray Charles Forever").

Even so, my point was that people just don't want to buy the album, because it's Gaga's. And I don't know how is she going to fix that.

I would love to take the control. I know every single troll that comes here to drag.
